I married my wonderful husband, Jason Hurta in 2001. We have 3 kids Cole, Makenzie, and Maddie who have all played Panther basketball. We joined the Panther’s in 2016 and I jumped right in and became the assistant coach for both the JV and Varsity girls’ teams. I am excited to be the girls’ varsity head coach for the ’23-’24 season. After graduating from Southwest Texas, I started my coaching career at Edna Junior High in 2000. We moved to New Braunfels in 2006. Homeschooling our kids led us to the Panther organization. Both my husband and I have enjoyed helping out anyway we could. I have always been very passionate about basketball and love the sport. Playing a team sport teaches so much that it helps later in life. I enjoy helping our athletes improve and succeed on and off the court, but most importantly, I love that I get to share the Gospel of Christ with all of these young ladies.
